Bath

它的同聲傳譯Simultaneous Interpretation屬于European Stuies & Moern Languages（歐洲研究和現(xiàn)代語言），它的專業(yè)名稱是：MA in Interpreting an Translating，分為兩個(gè)方向：1. 以英語為母語的人學(xué)的（Path 1 allows stuents with English as their A language to offer two other languages - from Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian an Spanish - working only into English） ； 2.英語為母語的或者以中文、法語、德語、意大利語、俄語和西班牙語為母語的人，以學(xué)習(xí)英語與自己母語的互相翻譯。

入學(xué)要求是：1. Goo Honors Degree (平均分80分以上)；2.語言要求：雅思7.0，單科不低于6.0。有專門的Chinese Stream，另外，在滿足了上述基本要求后，學(xué)生還要經(jīng)過學(xué)校的口語和書面語的篩選和面試，以保證學(xué)校的錄取人員的高水平。這個(gè)專業(yè)只招收最多24個(gè)人，小班上課（6-10人），學(xué)校會(huì)提供可能的實(shí)習(xí)機(jī)會(huì)。而且，讀完一年的課程后，學(xué)生還要經(jīng)過考試以判定得到MA學(xué)位還是Diploma。

請(qǐng)注意，同屬于European Stuies & Moern Languages系的還有另外一個(gè)與翻譯相關(guān)的專業(yè)MA in Translation an Professional Language Skills，但是這個(gè)專業(yè)是為英語為母語的人設(shè)的，不適合中國人讀，而且它也不包含同聲傳譯課程，而是主要偏重于translation, eiting an revision, précis writing, liaison interpreting an proofreaing. The programme also covers real-worl skills such as translation management an setting up in business as a translator。

它的語言學(xué)的排名是第三，僅次于牛津、劍橋。由于它的語言學(xué)太強(qiáng)了，它對(duì)申請(qǐng)者的要求也相應(yīng)地來說最高，比Bath還高，而且它只接受雅思成績。它的語言要求到雅思要求到7.5，單科不低于7.0，而且必須要面試。除此之外，它還需要申請(qǐng)者的二外達(dá)到expert水平，即精通。

Translation Stuies MA（傾向于研究方面，要學(xué)兩年，第一年只能拿一個(gè)Diploma，若符合條件才能進(jìn)入下一年的MA課程）），可見其語言學(xué)方面的強(qiáng)勢(shì)。而我們要申請(qǐng)的Simultaneous Interpretation在 Translating Grauate Diploma 里，而不是MA，而要得到MA，則要在Translating Grauate Diploma之后再讀MATranslating an Interpreting 課程。而這個(gè)Diploma課程的入學(xué)要求是：You nee a BA egree with a minimum average of 75 per cent (or GPA 2.75) on your transcript or an upper-secon-class Honors egree or higher. Non-egree holers, such as holers of Junior College Diplomas, shoul have three years’ relevant work experience. Native speakers of Chinese or Japanese require an English language score ofat least IELTS 7.0, with no less than 6.0 in any one skill.口語和寫作不低于6.5。 Newcastle適合想要讀兩年得到MA的申請(qǐng)者。

Lees

Lees 有自己的 Translation Stuies 系，有六門不同的 MA 課程，其中有 Simultaneous translating 課程包含在 Conference Interpreting an Translation Stuies 里，要求是 IELTS (Acaemic) score of 6.5 with at least 7.0 in speaking an 6.0 in all other components ， Acaemic entry req ： Usually a BA (Honours) egree, 2:1 （ 80 分以上）classification or equivalent in a language-base subject.還要參加考試。

Salfor

索爾福德的同傳課程包含在 MA/PgDip Interpreting an Translating 這門課程里，但是這門課程主要面向以英語、法語、德語和西班牙語為母語的申請(qǐng)者，如果不是以這幾門語言為母語的申請(qǐng)者，則需提供證據(jù)證明自己的英語非常高的熟練度。它的官網(wǎng)上并沒說明這個(gè)熟練度的程度，即雅思成績。

總體來說， Salfor 的語言系 School of Languages 還是很強(qiáng)的，光碩士學(xué)位課程就有七門，其中還有專門針對(duì)中英文互譯的課程。但是 simultaneous interpretation 同聲傳譯這門課是包含在 Interpreting an Translating 的選修課程里的，而且沒有中文方向的，所以不適合中國人去讀。適合中國人讀的是： MA/PgDip Chinese/English/Chinese Translation 和 MA/PgDip Chinese/English/Chinese Translation with Interpreting 。
